Established in 2004 by Mark Hobbs and Luke Jacoby, Spartan Innovations is committed to providing the best possible multimedia and communication services to small and medium sized businesses and organizations across Canada and around the world. Through the efforts of our growing team, we are also proud to be key partners in helping to provide support services to young entrepreneurs, through the works of such organizations as the International Youth Conference on Entrepreneurship (I.Y.C.E.).

A classic example of a young entrepreneur himself, Mark remains committed to developing the business community for other young entrepreneurs. He has been heavily involved with Junior Team Canada, was named Saskatchewan's Youth Ambassador in 2003 and represented Saskatchewan on an economic trade mission to Mexico. Mark was nominated for Junior Citizen of the year in 2004 and was recognized as one of the top five outstanding students by the Youth Salute award for community service.

Mark has held term positions with the Government of Saskatchewan and the Saskatchewan Trade and Export Partnership, where he helped to develop programs that promote international trade.

He is currently studying commerce at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia, where he is also developing several initiatives to get young people involved in international trade. Mark's exceptional forward-thinking skills and ability to interpret market signals allow him to develop new initiatives and approaches to strengthen Spartan Innovations' business core.

Luke's grassroots approach remains key to Spartan's international partnerships.

Luke has held positions with A.E.S.I.C. (an international students organization) and is currently spearheading the planning of the I.Y.C.E. Like Mark, Luke has also been highly involved with Junior Team Canada and participated on their economic mission to Brazil in the summer of 2004.

In his spare time, Luke is a high performance athlete in basketball and tennis and has won a series of awards within each sport. Despite a recent injury, Luke continues to remain involved with his favourite sports through the art of coaching and participating in athletics throughout his local community.

Luke is responsible for the management of the company and overall growth of current initiatives and assists in assembling the correct teams to handle every project on an individual basis. He is currently studying at the University of British Columbia's Sauder School of Business.
